This March I will be in Boston presenting at the 42nd Annual Conference of the Society for American Music. I will be part of the panel "Bridging Emerging and Established Approaches to Music Research"organized by the Research Resources Interest Group.

Starting Fall 2013 I joined the faculty at the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers, The State Univeristy of New Jersey

Organized the symposium Experimental Music in Practice: Perspectives from Latin America, Sept. 24–35, 2015.

My article  “Pensar los compositores latinoamericanos del final del siglo veinte y primeras décadas del veintiuno desde una perspectiva poscolonial” is coming out in the next issue of Pauta (135).

Eduardo Herrera is Assistant Professor of Music History and Ethnomusicology at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. In addition to writing about music, he is also a guitarist, bass player and sometimes, a composer.
